What we collect
Account information. You sign in via magic link sent to your email. We receive your email address only. You also choose a display name during setup.
Content you create. Recipes you import, generate, or create manually; your weekly meal plan; your shopping lists; and the recipes you favorite.
AI prompts. When you use AI features, the text you type is sent to Anthropic for processing.
Usage signals. We track actions like adding a recipe to your meal plan or generating a shopping list. These power the popularity rankings.
How we use your data
To provide the service, and to improve GroceryButler's features using anonymized, aggregated data — including recipes, ingredients, usage patterns, and engagement signals.
Who we share it with
We use third-party infrastructure providers to run the service.
Recipes are shared by default
Recipes you import or create are visible to all signed-in users by default. Your display name will be associated with recipes you contribute — if you prefer not to be identified, choose a display name that doesn't reveal your identity. Your meal plan, shopping list, and favorites are private to your account.
Deleting your data
To delete your account or request removal of your personal data, email privacy@grocerybutler.ai. Recipes you've contributed remain in the shared library under the display name you chose.
